Use complete geometry

To compare a rigid accessory with a case, you need its three outside dimensions and the case usable inside dimensions. The selected Kitsch Large Loop provides 11 cm length, 4 cm width and 4.5 cm height. The two-number Doe statement does not supply this reference with a full three-dimensional bounding box.

A documented starting clip

Our case tool uses the Kitsch listed dimensions as a documented default and leaves case measurements blank. A hypothetical 12 x 5 x 5.5 cm inside box can contain an 11 x 4 x 4.5 cm bounding box in that orientation, with 0.5 cm spare per face along each axis. These are geometric inputs, not a tested case purchase or a guaranteed actual closure.

Choose orientation explicitly

The tool can compare orthogonal rotations only if you permit them. It does not model diagonal insertion, soft pouch stretching, clip compression or an open jaw. Dimensions should describe the closed accessory being packed. A missing measurement remains missing instead of being estimated from a product photograph.

Keep the missing checks visible

A case may have a narrower opening, lining, zipper or rounded corners that reduce usable space. The calculator does not know those features or a protective wrapping requirement unless you provide an allowance. Confirm the actual case and accessory before relying on the result; we have not performed a packing, impact or scratch-protection test.

Clearance applies to both sides

A chosen 0.5 cm clearance on every face adds 1 cm to each full accessory dimension. The 11 x 4 x 4.5 cm default therefore requires 12 x 5 x 5.5 cm in the original orientation. Adding 0.5 cm only once would omit the allowance on the opposing face. The allowance is your assumption, not a manufacturer packing requirement.

Rotation is a limited option

Allowing orthogonal rotation compares six axis permutations. It does not permit bending a clip, forcing a spring open or squeezing a soft pouch. A 11 x 4 x 4.5 cm box can fit an entered 5 x 12 x 5.5 cm case with an appropriate axis swap and clearance, but that still leaves the actual opening and rounded corners to check.

Before you decide

  • Keep exact model, color and selling unit
  • Distinguish listed outer dimensions from unknown opening
  • Verify current maker scope and actual order conditions
