Choose your own target
The quantity tool uses a physical-piece target you choose. It is not a recommended number of clips per person and does not predict how frequently a wearer loses or replaces one. We have not measured hinge cycles, breakage or long-term appearance for the selected accessories.
A two-piece set example
For a hypothetical target of three assorted Large Loop clips, one set supplies two and is short. Two $9 sets supply four clips for $18 in merchandise, one above that physical-piece target. This is a whole-pack calculation for a confirmed two-piece set. Delivery and tax remain separate and no color-specific target is resolved by this arithmetic.
Do not forecast wear
Do not multiply a current price by an invented yearly replacement schedule to claim a long-term saving. A durable or lifetime phrase in marketing is not our measured service life. Actual storage, use and product condition are outside the tool, and no guaranteed number of wears or years is supplied.
Count the actual assortment
If the need is three black clips rather than three assorted physical pieces, the set composition becomes essential. Two black-and-tort sets provide two black and two tort clips. Use the actual relevant quantity rather than treating every item as interchangeable. The tool warns that a simple piece target does not solve a required-color allocation.
A zero target is valid
If no new physical pieces are required, enter zero and the plan returns zero whole offer units and zero merchandise cost. Blank target means the requirement is unknown, not zero. This distinction prevents the tool from quietly making a purchase recommendation before you have chosen what quantity is needed.
Do not turn a surplus into a forecast
One extra piece beyond a target is an arithmetic surplus, not evidence of a future replacement need or a guaranteed useful life. Actual loss, breakage and changing preferences are not modeled. The planner supplies a current whole-offer quantity from your input without inventing an annual buying cycle.

- Distinguish listed outer dimensions from unknown opening
